CEDEVIT proposes various methods for determining the antioxidant profile of a food, pharmacological or cosmetic product by very diverse and specific techniques:

  • A panel of in vitro methods for determining antioxidant capacity: DPPH, ORAC, FRAP, ABTS / TEAC, Hemolysis assay;
  • A panel of spectrophotometric methods for the identification and quantification of antioxidant groups: total polyphenols, total flavonols, total anthocyanins and total flavanols;
  • A panel of chromatographic methods (UPLC-PDA and/or Fluo) for the characterization and identification of compounds with antioxidant activity: Phenolic acids, flavonols, flavanols, anthocyanins.

CEDEVIT also provides assays for other bioactive compounds in plants such as ascorbic acid (colorimetric method), total glucosinolates (colorimetric method) and sulforaphane (UPLC-PDA).

In collaboration with the NAS hospital-university platform, intervention studies in humans can be carried out. For this, please contact Joël Pincemail.
