CEDEVIT- Student Workshop

CEDEVIT offers a programme of scientific workshops to secondary and higher education students.  Practical, fun and visual, these workshops allow students to practice and realize laboratory activities.

The different visits offered concern:

In vitro culture:

This includes a french presentation on the principles of plant micropropagation with demonstration, manipulation and visit of the laboratory and culture chambers.

• Duration: about an hour and a half to two hours
• Cost: €35.00 for groups of up to 10 students; 50.00 euros for larger groups (11 to 20 students)

Transgenic plants:

This includes a french presentation on the techniques of creating transgenic plants (some notions of molecular biology and micropropagation will be discussed) and on the usefulness of this technique; followed by a manipulation, aimed at discovering the work in sterile conditions, and a visit to the laboratory.

• Cost: €35.00 for groups of up to 10 students; 50.00 euros for larger groups (11 to 20 students)

All these visits are done over about 2 hours depending on the number of students.

Equipment is also available for the realization of experiments by students in schools under the direction of their teacher: jars of plants in the multiplication phase, sterile environments for multiplication and rooting, stock solutions allowing the realization of the main environments.
